Friday, Jan 22nd, Devotion

9. – Live and work in such a way as to bring glory and honor to God.
A. – People witness what kind of fruit grows from God’s tree. There are good apples and bad apples. And there are apples that look like they are from God’s tree, but really come from a whole other orchard! We are to be the best produce we can be for we are God’s fruit. Others will judge our God by the witness we put forth in our lives.
Biblical reference: “‘My true disciples produce much fruit. This brings great glory to my Father”‘ – John 15:8

10. – Remember the customer and his/her needs and expectations
A. – We are a people of needs. We often hear people say, “I need a new job” or “I need this project completed by tomorrow” or “I need you to…” Each one of these people are our customer in one form or another. The person who needs a new job often needs an ear to listen. The person who needs the project completed needs to be assured their expectations can be met. The person who needs you to … needs something that only you can provide in your special way. Likewise, we are customers of Jesus. Jesus understands our needs and has something that only he can provide. We only need to go to him and allow him to GIVE us something for which he already paid the price.
Biblical reference: “‘For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.”‘ – Matt 20:28
